Game to Watch: Week 10 vs. Bishop Ready

The Jaguars struggled in the short season they played in 2020, but they hope to perform better this year as they continue to be the lone independent team in the area.

First-year coach James Lee said that he is impressed with the work his team and coaching staff has put in during the offseason.

“I’m feeling like our team has a chance to improve, Lee said. “We will continue to put in the work, we have a great group of committed coaches who are preparing our players for the season.”

Lee said that his staff is also focused on molding the players into better young men beyond the football field.

The Jaguars run a spread offense that will be tested against Bishop Ready in Week 10.

This game will be crucial as it will show if KIPP Columbus will be able to compete with the other powerhouse conferences in the area such as the OCC-Central and the Central Catholic League.

Lee said that he is excited to play this season and gives respect to all the talented teams his team will face.

“We have tremendous respect for all of the opponents on our schedule and are looking forward to competing against them,” Lee said.
