Region 2

16 Delaware Hayes (3-7) at 1 Marysville (9-0)

Marysville has seen little residence this season, only allowing about 7 points per game on defense and beating competitive teams like Pickerington North and Olentangy Berlin with ease.

The Monarchs' key to this game will be to get a large lead early, as teams have had an impossible time coming back against Marysville this season.

Delaware Hayes struggled thus far this season going on a six-game losing streak in the middle of the season.  The streak was snapped last week with a confidence-boosting 49-0 win against Franklin Heights.

The key for Delaware Hayes will be to stay on offense for as long as possible.  Marysville's offense can quickly score and then effectively defend any coming back, so Hayes will need to hold the ball so the Monarchs cannot get the chance.

14 Dublin Coffman (3-7) at 3 Huber Heights Wayne (8-2)

While Dublin Coffman's record does not seem impressive, the Shamrocks do have an elite offense that has had the potential to win some big games.

Coffman averaged 24.7 points per game, yet they have allowed 36.7 points per game leading to their losing record.

The key for them will be to minimize Wayne's offensive output that has averaged 29.6  points per game this season.

10 Olentangy Liberty (5-5) at 7 Dublin Jerome (6-4)

Dublin Jerome has enjoyed success this season, yet they struggled against the better teams they played with losses to Olentangy Berlin, Marysville, and finally last week against Hilliard Darby.

Dublin Jerome will need to get the passing game going and especially focus on getting star receiver David Adolph the ball if they hope to win Friday's game.

Olentangy Liberty has played multiple top 10 teams in the state and, though they failed to beat them, have put up a good fight and shown that they know what the best teams look like.

At the same time, crucial wins against Olentangy Berlin and Glenville show that the Patriots can perform outside the conference.  The key for Liberty will be to limit Dublin Jerome to less than 20 points as Liberty averages around 20 points per game.

Region 3

16 Thomas Worthington (2-7) at 1 Upper Arlington (10-0)

Upper Arlington has been labeled a top 5 team in the state this season and for good reason.  The Golden Bears are undefeated defeating teams like Hilliard Davidson and Olentangy Liberty with ease.

The key for Upper Arlington will be to keep their same strategy which has led to an average point differential of 24.8 points per game this season.

Thomas Worthington has struggled thus far while losing their last six games of the regular season.

To pull off the upset, the Cardinals will need to score at least 20 points as the Golden Bears have only allowed more than 20 points in a game once this season.

15 Grove City (2-7) at 2 Pickerington Central (9-1)

Pickerington Central is having yet another successful year, yet an early-season loss to in-city rival Pickerington North has prevented them from reaching the top spot in the region.

Pickerington Central will need to score early and often to ensure a win against a Grove City team that has struggled on defense this season.

Grove City's Greyhounds will be happy to enter the playoffs in this expanded format, but they will not be as excited to meet the Tigers in the first round.

Grove City must keep scoring low for any chance of winning on Friday.  The Tigers' only loss came in a game in which both teams scored less than 15 points.

14 Westerville Central (2-7) at 3 Gahanna Lincoln (6-2)

Lincoln has enjoyed immense success this season only losing a close game early in the year to Mason and in Week 5 to undefeated New Albany.

Lincoln will look to ride the momentum of last week's win against Pickerington North and score early against a team they have already beaten this year, Westerville Central.

The Warhawks have failed to live up to much of their anticipated success this year, yet still make the playoffs and have a chance to redeem their losing record.

A win in this game would give Westerville Central revenge for their midseason loss to the Lions and possibly propel them farther into the playoffs.

13 Westerville North (3-7) at 4 New Albany (10-0)

New Albany comes into the playoffs undefeated, yet only manages to catch the fourth seed even behind Lincoln-a team the Eagles beat earlier in the season.

So, a win and subsequent run further into the playoffs would prove New Albany's skill as a team and how they may have been underrated by the seeding process.

Westerville North has had success this year but has struggled recently, losing its last five games this season.

To win on Friday, the Warriors will need to contain New Albany's offense that has scored 46 points per game this season.

12 Central Crossing (4-6) at 5 Hilliard Darby (7-3)

Hilliard Darby's season has been filled with ups and downs but overall has stayed successful throughout.

Although a loss, the Panthers' best performance came against Marysville on the road where Darby brought the Monarchs all the way into overtime only to lose by just one possession.

Central Crossing has dealt with a difficult schedule featuring teams like Pickerington Central and Upper Arlington.

The Comets' key to this game will be to break the slump they have fallen in following the team's Week 10 loss to Groveport Madison.

11 Groveport Madison (4-6) at 6 Pickerington North (7-3)

Pickerington North was looking to have its best season in years following a Week 3 loss to Marysville.

The Panthers went on a 5-game winning streak beating Pickerington Central among other OCC teams.

Groveport Madison got off to a rough start this season but ended up improving as the season went on.

The Cruisers will look to ride the momentum from two wins at the end of the season and pull off the upset against Pickerington North.

10 Lancaster (4-6) at 7 Hilliard Bradley (5-5)

Hilliard Bradley has momentum coming into the first round of the playoffs after winning three of its last four games.

This will assist them against a competitive Lancaster team that has seen tough teams already this year in the forms of Pickerington Central, New Albany, and Olentangy Berlin.

The key for Hilliard Bradley will be to use their home-field advantage to boost their potentially devastating offense.

For Lancaster, scoring early will be crucial as they will want to get an early lead on Bradley if they hope to win.

9 Reynoldsburg (4-5) at 8 Hilliard Davidson (7-3)

The closest game in this region may not look like a neck-and-neck affair in looking at the records, but Reynoldsburg has the potential to perform well in the playoffs.

The Raiders nearly gave Upper Arlington its only loss this season only losing 42-41.

On the other hand, Hilliard Davidson has won some crucial games toward the end of the season against Olentangy Liberty and Dublin Coffman.

This game will surely be a competitive matchup, and the second round could find the winner of this game moving even further.
