Region 23

16 Northridge (5-5) at 1 Beverly Fort Frye (7-1)

Northridge comes into the playoffs dropping their last two of three games first to Heath 57-10 followed by Newark Catholic 45-14 to finish the season.

Beverly Fort Frye will prove to be a difficult matchup in the first round, and the Vikings will certainly have their work cut out for them if they hope to pull off the upset.

14 Lucasville Valley (4-6) at 3 West Jefferson (9-1)

West Jefferson has dominated the OHC this year averaging 38 points per game on offense.

The Roughriders nearly secured a league title but were thwarted for the second consecutive year by rival Mechanicsburg in Week 10.

Although the Indians are not in West Jefferson's region, the odds are not impossible that the two teams could meet later in the postseason.

12 KIPP Columbus (6-4) at 5 Willow Wood Symmes Valley (9-0)

KIPP Columbus has shown immense improvement and discipline this season ending the regular season with its best record in years.

This has propelled central Ohio's leading independent team to a No. 12 seed in this region and a first-round matchup against undefeated Symmes Valley.

It remains to be seen just how far the Jaguars could go, but this regular-season record nevertheless shows great potential for the school in the future.

11 Fredericktown (5-5) at 6 Galion Northmor (8-2)

Since going 2-8 in 2020, Northmor has completely flipped its team and record finishing 8-2 and third in the KMAC.

Late-season losses to Centerburg and Highland are certainly games the Golden Knights would want back, but this does not mean they do not still have great potential to move far into the postseason.

Fredericktown has finished the season with two wins but struggled in the middle part of the regular season even losing to this same Northmor team 40-20.

The focus for the Freddies must be on defense as they allowed 31 points per game last season while Northmor scored just 25 points per game.

10 Worthington Christian (7-2) at 7 Africentric (6-3)

It has been a year of "firsts" for Africentric as it was their first winning record, their first league title game, their first time in the top 10 of a region, among many more.

The Nubians will now look for their best postseason finish but will have their work cut out for them against a competitive Worthington Christian team.

Despite a tough loss to Berne Union toward the end of the season, the Warriors have potential to pull off this first-round upset as they have shown multiple times this year that they can score the football with three games scoring over 50 points.

9 Centerburg (6-3) at 8 Nelsonville-York (7-3)

Centerburg has seen success here and there during the regular season, but a late-season win against Northmor shows their potential to perform in big games.

This could possibly propel the Trojans far into the playoffs while eventually meeting Northmor yet again at some point and hoping for the same result as the first time.

Region 24

16 St. Bernard-Elmwood Place (3-5) at 1 Mechanicsburg (10-0)

Mechanicsburg is having yet another successful season winning the OHC-North for the second consecutive year.

The Indians have also averaged 40 points per game and only allowed an average of 12 points per game on defense.

At this point, there is no telling how far Mechanicsburg can go as long as they keep up this same performance throughout the postseason.
