Region 27

16 Danville (4-6) at 1 Newark Catholic (9-1)

Newark Catholic was just shy of being undefeated in the regular season but fell in Week 9 to Heath by just one touchdown.

This week, the Green Wave's matchup against Danville will be somewhat of a test for the team as they will get to see a nonconference team to start the postseason.

Danville will hope to contain Newark Catholic's offense, which averaged 39 points per game if they want any hope of winning.

15 Bishop Rosecrans (4-6) at 2 Berne Union (9-0)

Berne Union has cruised through the regular season with ease beating teams by an average of 34 points per game.

This first-round matchup is a rematch of Week 3, in which the Rockets rolled over Bishop Rosecrans 48-6.

If the Bishops would want to win, it is crucial that they limit the opportunities Berne Union has on offense while keeping the score low.

14 Fairfield Christian Academy (4-6) at 3 Shadyside (8-1)

Fairfield Christian struggled at many points during the season but comes into the postseason with two wins by over 25 points against Miller and Millersport.

The Knights are not favored to win against competitive Shadyside, yet if they hone in on their offense, as they have done in the past two weeks, there is a chance they could pull off the upset.

13 Reedsville Eastern (4-4) at 4 East Knox (8-2)

East Knox barely missed out on the KMAC title this year, but that does not mean that its season is over.

The Bulldogs have strong potential to reach far into the postseason led by an offense that scored 33 points per game and a defense that only allowed 18 points per game.

12 Fisher Catholic (5-5) at 5 Glouster Trimble (7-2)

Fisher Catholic began the regular season 2-3 but had an impressive performance in its conference ending with an even record.

Although the Irish's point differential barely reached five points all season, there is potential for Fisher Catholic to pull off the upset as the Irish rides a 3-2 finish to the season.

Fisher Catholic will also be eager to dust off a Week 10 loss to Berne Union 49-14.
