Region 23

1 Beverly Fort Frye (10-1) vs. 3 West Jefferson (12-1) at Logan Chieftain Stadium

Since losing to Mechanicsburg in Week 10, West Jefferson has gone on a tear defeating all its opponents by 25 points or more.

These wins have been spearheaded by running back Hayden Salyer who has five touchdowns in the last two games and averaged 10.4 yards per carry this season.

Now that Mechanicsburg has fallen, the revenge tour the Roughriders may have wanted has been cut short, yet the goal from the start of the season is still very present.

With a win on Friday, West Jefferson would punch its ticket to the Final Four after losing in just the third round last season.

However, the Roughriders will first need to get through a competitive Fort Frye team that is coming off a 5-game winning streak.

The Cadets also boast an effective offense led by running back Maeson Long whose best performance came in the Regional Quarterfinals when he rushed for 223 yards and an impressive four touchdowns as his team routed Northridge 54-6.

Although West Jefferson has a defense that has not allowed more than two touchdowns throughout the postseason, the Roughriders will have its work cut out for them against Fort Frye's offense.
