Region 27

1 Newark Catholic (12-1) vs. 3 Shadyside (11-1) at New Philadelphia Woody Hayes Quaker Stadium

Newark Catholic has had a season covered in success from the very beginning.

Despite a lone blemish in the form of a 28-21 loss against Heath, the Green Wave has thrived throughout the year boasting an offense that averaged about 39 points per game.

This offense has led Newark Catholic to win each of its playoff games by 18 points or more with the last two games ending in 35-point and 31-point blowouts respectively.

Shadyside has not seen the same clear dominance, yet its wins have still been impressive and often this season.  At the head of its offense is running back Wyatt Reiman who has 11 touchdowns in the postseason alone rushing for four in the team's last win against River.

Not to be outdone, the Green Wave has its own star running back in Mason Hackett who has ten touchdowns in the postseason and will look to perform mightily this week and if his team progresses to the Division VII Final Four.
