COLUMBUS, Ohio -- With just three minutes to go, the night had seemingly swallowed Coach Nori and his team as they trailed the Celtics. Yet one bright spot shone under the lights to give the Bears the win: sophomore quarterback Harrison Brewster.

Olentangy Berlin defeated Dublin Jerome 22-21 on Friday at Olentangy Bear Field behind a touchdown by Brewster in the game’s final minute.

The Bears (7-1, 3-0 OCC-Cardinal) trailed for the entire game in back of the Celtics (5-3, 1-2 OCC-Cardinal), but won it in the end.

Brewster (6'1'', 180 lbs.) was 13-for-17 passing and threw for 131 yards.

Nori said that although he is sometimes unsure of Brewster's style, he was impressed with how the quarterback played against a prepared defense.

"He takes a snap but I'm not sure what he's doing, and I can't go any more bald than I already am so I can't pull my hair out," Nori said. "They had a plan for him, and he was still able to come through."

Berlin senior linebacker Nick Tiberio leaps to intercept the ball during the game's first drive.

Berlin scored only a field goal in the first half, ending the second down 14-3.

The Bears came back strong in the third first forcing a fumble and then scoring on a 20-yard touchdown pass to senior receiver Jason Harris.

Jerome instantly responded with Everhart punching the ball in for his second touchdown.

The score was 21-10 going into the fourth quarter.

Berlin would score once but still trailed by six points as three minutes remained.

Led by Brewster, Berlin marched down the field with multiple passes going to the quarterback's favorite target tonight, senior receiver Colin Pethtel.

This drive culminated in a 4-yard rushing touchdown by Brewster with just 30 seconds left.

Jerome was unable to respond in the game's final seconds, giving Berlin the victory.

The Celtics will look to rebound next week against their in-city rival the Olentangy Braves.

The Bears will hope to continue their four-game winning streak against the mighty Marysville Monarchs next Friday.

Nori said that the Bears were not always great at making comebacks like in Friday's game, but now they seemed to have made a breakthrough.

"There has been times in the past where we've been down and we couldn't get ourselves back," Nori said. "Now we're starting to turn the corner a little bit, and winning some of these games."
