2024 Preseason All-270 Team

Our second year of selections for the All-270 preseason team features 14 players on offense, 14 players on defense, and a kicker for each team. 

The six quarterbacks consists of seniors only, all of which had more than 2,500 total yards, and 25 or more total touchdowns last season. 

Five teams (Gahanna Lincoln, Olentangy, Pickerington Central, Pickerington North, and Westerville North) led with four position player selections (Pickerington Central had five players including special teams).

All of Pickerington North's representatives are first team selections--the highest amount of selections on one team. 

Bishop Hartley, Bishop Watterson, and Upper Arlington were not far behind, with three selections.

26 of the selections have committed to Division I programs so far. Army, Kentucky, Ohio State, and Toledo lead in this category, with two commitments each. Granville's Beckett Long (Middlebury) pushes the total number of total college commits to 27.

First team offense

 QB Tavien St. Clair, Bellefontaine (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-4, 228

Committed: Ohio State

St. Clair threw for 3,083 yards and 37 touchdowns while completing over 70 percent of his passes.

QB Brennen Ward, Gahanna Lincoln (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-4, 210

Committed: Kentucky

Gahanna Lincoln's all-time passing leader threw for 2,482 yards and 27 touchdowns last season.

HB Kentrell Rinehart, Westland (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-1, 215

Committed: NC State

The possible Mr. Football finalist accounted for 3,003 all-purpose yards and 46 touchdowns in 12 games at Bishop Ready.

HB Michael Taylor, Pickerington North (2025)

Height/Weight: 5-11, 185

Committed: Ohio

Taylor led a talented Pickerington North backfield in carries (138), yards (912), and touchdowns (13).

WR Preston Bowman, Pickerington North (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-0, 190

Committed: Kentucky

The big target at Pickerington North caught 43 passes for 713 yards as a junior.

WR Jaeden Ricketts, Watkins Memorial (2026)

Height/Weight: 6-0, 196

Ricketts' great route running and speed has gotten the attention of power four schools over the summer.

WR Jackson Wiley, Olentangy (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-0, 185

Wiley dominated the stat sheet with 77 catches and over 1,000 receiving yards

TE Tyler Kielmeyer, Westerville South (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-7, 235

Committed: Northwestern

Kielmeyer's receiving skills at 6'7, 235 pounds makes him one of the most dominant tight ends in Ohio.

OL Ayden Annarino, Pickerington North (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-4, 285

Committed:  Miami (OH)

Annarino is an experienced guard who will be Pickerington North's best returning offensive lineman.

OL Jake Cook, Westerville North (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-5, 300

Committed: Ohio State

The Ohio State commit was a first team all-district and third team all-state in 2023.

OL Eli Hall, Big Walnut (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-3, 310

Hall has experience all over the offensive line, and was a second team all-district last season.

OL Parker Harden, Pickerington Central (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-5 315

Committed: Tennessee State

Harden is a powerful offensive lineman and one of the best at finishing blocks in Central Ohio.

OL Jeremy McDowell, Gahanna Lincoln (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-3, 280

Committed: Army

The lineman from Gahanna can play multiple positions on the offensive line and is a three year starter.

AP T.J. Green, Reynoldsburg (2025)

Height/Weight: 5'11, 180

Committed: Boston College

Green proved why he's one of the best athletes in Central Ohio when he had 1,000 receiving yards on offense, and 71 tackles on defense.

K Treyton McKee, Bloom-Carroll (2025)

Height/Weight: 5-10, 182

Committed: Bowling Green

McKee went 56/57 on point-after-attempts and kicked 35 touchbacks last season.

First team defense

EDGE Keishaun Calhoun, Groveport Madison (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-4, 245

Committed: Indiana

The first team all-district out of Groveport is coming off of a year with 42 tackles, 5.5 sacks, forced three fumbles, and scored two touchdowns.

EDGE Cal Thrush, Upper Arlington (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-4, 250

Committed: Michigan State

Thrush leads one of the best defenses in Central Ohio and was a second team all-district selection.

DL Jalen Joyce, Groveport Madison (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-0, 260

Joyce was third team all-state and OCC-Buckeye defensive player of the year with 69 tackles and 9.5 sacks.

DL Ta'lil Spikes, Africentric (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-2, 270

Spikes was third team all-state after recording 60 tackles and 15 sacks in 2023.

LB Denim Cook, Bishop Hartley (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-4, 225

Committed: Pittsburgh

The versatile linebacker made 116 tackles, 22 tackles for loss, and 15 sacks.

LB Terrell Holcomb, Gahanna Lincoln (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-3, 205

Committed: Cincinnati

The second team all-OCC had 89 tackles and 14 tackles for loss.

LB Rocco Paschal, Watkins Memorial (2025)

Height/Weight: 5-9, 210

Watkins Memorial's single season tackles leader (129) was also a first team all-district.

LB Austin Stamp, Olentangy Liberty (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-0, 200

Stamp was a first team all-OCC and second team all-district after recording 116 total tackles.

CB Dawayne Galloway, Marion-Franklin (2025)

Height/Weight: 6'0, 175

Committed: Purdue

Galloway's coverage skills along with incredible speed helped him emerge as a top cornerback in Ohio.

CB Tyson Long, Pickerington North (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-0, 180

Long's aggressive play style and athleticism has made the three-year starter into a dangerous defensive back.

DB Owen Barry-Wilson, Westerville North (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-2, 185

Barry-Wilson's ability at both corner and safety earned himself a spot on the all-OCC seecond team.

S Kaden Gebhardt, Olentangy (2026)

Height/Weight: 6-2, 200

The junior with 16 Division I offers had 129 tackles, 3 interceptions, and 2 forced fumbles last season.

S Emoni Smith, Westland (2026)

Height/Weight: 6'1, 175

Smith led his team with 108 tackles and 12 tackles for loss, while also being a valuable target at receiver.

AP Caleb Anthony, Africentric (2026)

Height/Weight: 5-8, 165

The two-time first team all-state defensive back had 53 tackles and 8 interception to go with over 1,000 all-purpose yards.

Second team offense

QB Jaystin Gwinn, Westerville Central (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-1, 185

The second team all-district quarterback picked up 3,156 total yards and 30 touchdowns for Westerville Central last season.

QB Ronald Jackson, Westerville North (2025)

Height/Weight: 5-11, 175

Jackson was a second team all-district selection with 2,982 total yards and 30 touchdowns.

HB Jayden Gwinn, Gahanna Lincoln (2025)

Height/Weight: 5-10, 197

Gwinn is a powerful back who has rushed for over 700 yards in his his last 12 games.

HB Robert Lathon Jr., Bishop Hartley (2026)

Height/Weight: 5-11, 195

Lathon rushed for 1,543 yards and 17 touchdowns while also winning all-district and all-state awards as a sophomore.

WR Jovon McBride, Hamilton Township (2026)

Height/Weight: 6-2, 175

The two-sport star at Hamilton Township hauled in over 1,000 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns.

WR Drayson Peterson, Newark (2025)

Height/Weight: 5-11, 182

The do-it-all Newark senior had 981 yards and 11 touchdowns on 55 receptions.

TE Michael Stevenson, Bloom-Carroll (2025)

Committed: Colgate

Stevenson is a big play receiver and reliable target in Bloom-Carroll's offense.

OL Jake Beatty, Bishop Hartley (2026)

Height/Weight: 6-3, 290

Beatty is a rising prospect who has already picked up first team all-district and third team all-state honors.

OL Hogan Bloomfield, Upper Arlington (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-5, 285

Bloomfield can take defenders out of a play with his blocking ability, and will have a stock-rising senior year.

OL Curtis McCollum, Dublin Coffman (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-5, 300

McCollum can play at any position on the offensive line and is the unsung hero to Dublin Coffman's offense.

OL Jake Marzich, Olentangy Berlin (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-3, 270

Committed: Penn

The two-way lineman is an athletic run blocker and quick defensive end.

OL Ezechiel Teshome, Harvest Prep (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-1, 250

Teshome is an offensive lineman with a lot of range and was a third team all-state selection.

AP Taizaun Burns, Gahanna Lincoln (2025)

Height/Weight: 6'0, 175

One of the most dynamic playmakers in Central Ohio will bring a spark to Gahanna Lincoln's offense this fall.

K Carson Goulet, Pickerington Central (2025)

Height/Weight: 5-8, 160

Goulet made 42 of his 44 extra points and averaged almost 40 yards per punt as well.

Second team defense

EDGE Myles Harrison, Pickerington Central (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-3, 210

Committed: Buffalo

Harrison is dominant force on Pickerington Central's defensive front seven who is great at stopping the run and getting pressure on the quarterback.

EDGE Braddock Lusher, Grandview Heights (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-2, 235

Lusher was third team all-state after leading his team with 97 tackles and 5.5 sacks.

DL Ty Neubert, St. Francis DeSales (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-3, 260

Committed: Ohio University

Neubert is a dynamic defensive lineman who doubles as an offensive lineman for St. Francis DeSales.

DL Daniel Stephens, Olentangy (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-0, 250

Stephens piled up 63 tackles and 11 sacks to become an all-district and all-state selection last season.

LB Blake Elliott, East Knox (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-0, 205

The Division VI defensive player of the year recored 159 total tackles as a linebacker, and rushed for over 1,300 yards as a running back.

LB Aiden Eviston, Olentangy Berlin (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-1, 220

The OCC defensive player of the year will be leading Olentangy Berlin on both sides of the ball.

LB Jake Lopinto, Licking Heights (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-0, 215

Committed: Robert Morris

Lopinto tallied 114 tackles on defense and over 1,000 all-purpose yards as a running back.

LB Zack Weber, Bishop Watterson (2025)

Height/Weight: 5'10, 200

One of Bishop Watterson's best athletes had 104 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, and had over 1,000 all-purpose yards.

CB Zach Corna, Upper Arlington (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-0, 185

First team all-district selection and second team all-Ohio is one of the most well-rounded defensive backs in the area.

CB Jordan Reed-Davis, Hilliard Bradley (2026)

Height/Weight: 5-10, 175

Reed-Davis is a shutdown corner with 23 pass break-ups and 4 interceptions in his sophomore season.

DB R.J. Holland, Pickerington Central (2026)

Height/Weight: 6-2, 175

Holland is a lengthy athlete who is great at playing many different roles in Pickerington Central's defense.

S Terris Dudley, Hilliard Bradley (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-3, 200

Committed: Toledo

The Hilliard Bradley senior is hard-hitting safety with great athleticism and coverage skills.

S J.J. Jah, Olentangy (2025)

Height/Weight: 5-11, 180

Jah had 49 tackles and 7 pass-break-ups as Olentangy's all-around defensive back.

AP Tyrell Russell, Beechcroft (2025)

Height/Weight: 5-11, 175

Committed: Toledo

One of the top cornerbacks in Central Ohio has great speed, and rushed for 1,000 yards.

Third team offense

QB Andrew Leonard, Olentangy Liberty (2025)

Height/Weight: 5-10, 175

Leonard is three-sport all-conference selection (baseball and hockey) and became Olentangy Liberty's all-time passing leader last season.

QB Beckett Long, Granville (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-2, 185

Committed: Middlebury

The first-team all-district and second-team all-state honoree accounted for 3,621 total yards and 42 touchdowns.

HB Connor Corbett, Heath (2025)

Height/Weight: 5-7, 180

Corbett scored 21 touchdowns to go with 1,672 all-purpose yards in 2023.

HB Henry Ohlinger, Grandview Heights (2026)

Height/Weight: 6'1, 210

Ohlinger rushed for 1,360 yards and scored 17 touchdowns.

WR Matthew Giannantonio, Dublin Jerome (2026)

Height/Weight: 6-1 185

Giannantonio flashed his skills at the varsity level last season and is ready for a bigger role in 2024.

WR Elijah Harris, Westerville Central (2026)

Height/Weight: 5-11, 160

Harris is an all-district receiver, and an all-state jumper entering his junior year of high school.

WR Jake Uhlenhake, Bishop Watterson (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-1, 190

The third-team all-state receiver totaled 1,263 all-purpose yards and 69 receptions.

TE Beckett Miller, Olentangy Orange (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-5, 230

Miller fits the mold of a Division I caliber tight end and should have an explosive senior season with Olentangy Orange.

OL Jimmy Bogle, Watkins Memorial (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-4, 300

The Watkins Memorial tackle is one of the biggest and most physical offensive lineman in Central Ohio.

OL Pete Eglitis, Bishop Watterson (2026)

Height/Weight:  6-5, 270

Eglitis is quickly gaining Division I interest as he develops the next great left tackle to come out of Columbus.

OL Malakai Hammond, Northland (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-1, 252

The second-team all-district selection will be one of Northland's most valuable players this season. 

OL Jackson Pelzer, Granville (2025)

Height/Weight: 5-11, 255

The third-team All-Ohioan unlocks a high powered offense for Granville, and is a key player on the defensive line as well.

OL Ben Rader, Johnstown (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-2, 310

Rader's performance at tackle last season was good enough for an all-district selection.

AP Amari Valerio-Hudson, Dublin Coffman (2025)

Height/Weight: 5-11, 160

Committed: Army

The top five receiver in Central Ohio moves to quarterback to help enhance Dublin Coffman's offense.

K Luca Licata, Dublin Jerome (2026)

Height/Weight: 5-8, 130

The Dublin Jerome multi-sport athlete has already gotten to show off his leg power and accuracy that will make him a great kicker and punter in Central Ohio.

Third team defense

EDGE Anthony Jalloh, Franklin Heights (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-2, 240

The OCC defensive player of the year finished the season with 85 tackles, 27 tackles for loss, and 8 sacks.

EDGE Tyreek Lewis, Northland (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-1, 190

Northland's best defender had 51 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, and 11 sacks last season.

DL Javion Jones-Cunningham, South (2025)

Height/Weight: 6'2, 225

The second-team all-state defensive lineman at South had 15 tackles for loss and eight sacks as a junior.

DL Mason Welborn, Walnut Ridge (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-2, 260

Wellborn was a second-team all-district as a defensive tackle, and plays at the left guard spot on offense.

LB Gabe Cofer, New Albany (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-2, 185

Cofer's combination of instinct, power, and speed earned him spots on the all-OCC first team, and the all-Ohio third team. 

LB Nevin Densel, Dublin Scioto (2026)

Height/Weight: 6-0, 215

The second-team all-district Dublin Scioto sophomore is one of many rising talents in the Central Ohio area.

LB Kyle Kirby, Granville (2026)

Height/Weight: 6-1, 215

Kirby only needed nine game to make over 100 tackles and and score 15 touchdowns on his way to an all-Ohio second-team selection.

LB Daequan Lindsey, East (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-4, 180

Lindsey ability to play in multiple positions will be a huge asset for the East defense this season.

CB Elazar Hood, St. Francis DeSales (2025)

Height/Weight: 6-0, 165

One of DeSales' best athletes had 16 pass break-ups and 4 interceptions as well as 34 tackles.

CB Jamarcus Jones, Harvest Prep (2026)

Height/Weight: 6-0, 170

Jones had an impressive season at corner with 8 pass break-ups and 5 interceptions in his second year.

DB Marsean Bowles, East (2025)

Height/Weight: 5-9, 145

The All-City League defensive back is one of East's best returning athletes and had 4 interceptions last season.

S Isaac Patterson, Westerville South (2026)

Height/Weight: 6'0, 185

Westerville South's Patterson is quickly developing into one best tackling and hard-hitting safeties in the area.

Stevens is an electrifying player who can fly around the field as a safety and be a threat with the ball in his hands on offense.
